MACHINE OPERATOR for a food grade paper packaging company.
Location- Milan, OHPay rate- $18-$24 BOEShift -6am-430pm Some weekend overtime required
Job Summary: The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, running, and maintaining the machine center. This includes overseeing the manufacturing process, ensuring product quality, and maintaining safety standards.
Key Responsibilities: - Set up, operate, and maintain machinery.
- Follow all safety procedures and protocols.
- Inspect products to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Communicate with supervisors to maintain efficiency and quality.
- Perform troubleshooting and maintenance on equipment.
- Accurately complete required paperwork and data entry.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Physical Requirements: - Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
- Good vision, including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.
Skills and Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and follow instructions and specifications.
- Team player with good communication skills.
Work Environment: - Full-time position with varying shifts, including potential overtime and weekends.
- Exposure to dust and hot / cold environments.
